A brand new daylight studio based in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Our goal is to develop a minimal, clean and interesting place where both client and creative can play and move around. AKE – daylight in Japanese – provides for us as creatives the best “natural” lighting possible. It is the only constant aspect in our space, while the rest is up to you!
AKE is founded by two creatives, Tom and Floor, who took their studio experience and implemented that into the essence of the space. Through our vision, AKE would be most suitable for shoots regarding: products, furniture, fashion, food and people.

You can book the studio at any available date and time through our online booking system. If the date or time of your choice is not available, please send us an email and we will try to make it work!
Yes you can! We do have standardized slots, but if you have something different in mind, please get in touch. For example, if you would like to book the studio for 2, 6 or 12 hours, we will try to make that work.
Basic equipment is available in the studio, but we know that every shoot is different from others and the associated equipment may vary. If required, you can choose the additional or extra option while booking and we will make sure all requested gear is available at your shoot. Prices are depending upon the requested gear.
Coffee, thee, water and some other refreshments are available and free during your stay. If there's a need for lunch or other supplies. Please select the additional option for lunch including the amount of people, and we will get in touch with you about your wishes.
Yes, you may. Let your creativity flow! But we kindly want to inform you that all furniture objects are high end, authentic and vintage. Therefore we would love it for you to be careful while using or moving them. Also try to be a little considerate of our floor when moving furniture around.
If you arrive by car, you may unload your car at the door and from there you can park somewhere in the street. Avoid extra charges with parking and give us your license plate number upon arrival and we will sign you in for the day! If you are traveling by public transport it will be a 15 minute walk from Nijmegen central station, there are also several bus stops nearby.
